# Is Brace Health Right for Your Therapy Practice?

Evaluate Brace Health for your therapy practice by checking billing needs, EMR compatibility, communication, retained responsibilities, and service scope.

## What Brace Health does

Brace Health focuses on back-end therapy billing and revenue-cycle follow-through. Within your agreed service scope, that includes:

- Claim submission and corrected claims.
- Payment posting and secondary claims.
- Denial investigation, appeals, and payer follow-up.
- Working unpaid claims and monitoring aging accounts receivable.
- Communicating blockers and requests to your practice.

A dedicated human billing partner works closely with your team, supported by technology. The goal is ownership of unresolved billing work—not simply submitting claims and leaving your staff to chase the rest.

## Check the actual EMR setup

Tell us which EMR you use and how claims, remittances, and payments move through it. Ask what the starting workflow would look like, including any manual steps.

**EMR compatibility and integration status are different questions.** Do not assume every system is supported or that planned automation is already available. Confirm the setup for your practice before making a decision.

## What Brace Health does not do

**We do not handle prior authorizations, patient intake, or credentialing.** Those responsibilities stay with your practice or another provider you designate.

Your team also retains clinical documentation and clinical decision-making, including completing and signing notes and supplying missing information needed for billing. Outsourcing back-end billing does not replace your front office or clinical staff.

We can identify a billing blocker and communicate what is needed; that does not mean we take over the underlying intake, authorization, or credentialing task.

Confirm patient-balance and statement responsibilities separately in your agreement rather than assuming every patient-facing task is included. Inherited AR is excluded from standard service; any limited exception requires separate approval and an executed addendum.

Before starting, put the handoffs in writing: who provides missing information, how requests reach them, and who confirms the claim can move afterward.

## Look for a working relationship you can oversee

Brace Health combines human billing support with technology. Evaluate that model by asking who handles your account, how requests reach you, and how you will understand progress—not simply whether the service uses AI.

The useful test is: **Can we name the owner and next action for the billing work we expect this partner to handle?**

If your EMR cannot support the proposed workflow, your needs sit outside the agreed service, or your team cannot provide required information, those gaps need resolution first.

Talk with a Brace expert about your current setup and the responsibilities you want to change. We can assess fit without pretending one service model suits every practice.
